Android JellyBean 4 1 Vs iOS 6 User Interface

User Interface

Lockscreens

Well, most of you people are aware of the main difference between Android and iOS -customization vs ease of use.Well, first of all, when you turn your phone on you go to the lockscreen.Well the lockscreens in both the platforms are very different. In Iphone you get the typical Slide to unlock lockscreen, whereas in case of android jellybean you will be confronted with the drag to unlock lockscreen.However.there is one major difference -in case of iOS you are restricted to the Slide to unlock feature whereas in android you will get a whole bunch of third party lockscreens that you can install, thus enhancing your experience.
 Check out Android Lockscreen Alternatives

User Interface

Well after the lockscreen comes the user interface. In iOS 6 you are once again presented with the plain icons. In case of android once again it is all about customization. One thing that I noticed is that folders open faster in jellybean than iOS ,maybe because of project butter.

Notification Area

Well in this case it is almost a tie only a slight edge to android because of more allowance of choices in this area.

Top 4G speed smashed with 1 4 Gbps mobile call

52 commercial LTE customers around the world – more than any other vendor – Nokia Siemens Networks is familiar with 4G leadership. But even its mobile broadband experts were impressed when they earlier this month achieved world record data speeds exceeding 1.4 Gbps using an LTE-Advanced (4G) system on 100 MHz of aggregated spectrum.

The calls, involving huge file transfers and HD video streaming, hit peaks of 1.429 Gigabits-per-second. Although not aiming to replicate the feat in Barcelona, the breakthrough supports the company’s claim to being the mobile broadband specialist at Mobile World Congress 2012.

“Moments such as these only come once,” said Marc Rouanne, the company’s head of Network Systems. “Taking advanced technologies – such as LTE-Advanced – to a higher level is hugely satisfying. This work shows the potential for operators moving to LTE and beyond to deliver ubiquitous mobile broadband that truly delights people. The fact that this world record has been achieved using our commercial Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station is just another proof of our platforms’ superior capacity.”

“At Mobile World Congress we’re showcasing leading innovations in our Liquid Net portfolio, as well as in customer experience management, all made to work seamlessly by the expertise of our services teams. Today’s 4G world record and everything we do at the event underscores our focus on leadership in mobile broadband. It’s this focus that our customers will take away from their visits to our Experience Center,” Rouanne said.

Android jellybean 4 1 Vs iOS 6 Social Integration

‘Mobile’ and ‘social,’ walk hand in hand, and phone makers know how much social networks matter to the masses. Last year iOS 5 had Twitter integration and Apple added Facebook integration this year, to make the iOS 6 completely socially integrated. Jelly Bean follows suit, and you get integrated social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Picasa, its own Google+, and more.

Seemingly, Google offers more integration, and yes of course it is also trying to pimp its Google+.  Apple has also integrated the two most popular social networks.

3 v 1 for the iPhone 5

While many are waiting for the iPhone 5 supposedly coming out this September. There has been many changes within the iPhone. There are going to be 4 major changes in the iPhone.

Relationships with Google going sour with Apple?

The first removal would be the Google Maps App that is already installed in the iPhone. There hasnt been news about whether there will be a Google Map app in the Apple App Store, but there wont be stock App already installed in the iPhone 5.

Secondly, YouTube will also be removed from the pre-installed App on the iPhone.

The next major change in the iPhone that people are already complaining about is the new connector that Apple has decided to change. Currently, whether you are using the iPhone, iPod, or iPad, they all are using the 30 pin connector. iPhone 5 will be using a 19pin connector. This will change a lot of accessories for the new upcoming iPhone. The reason for this change is in order to have a 4G radio on the iPhone.

Lastly, this is probably the only good change that will be happening to the iPhone is the new nano microSIM. The iPhone5 will be having a smaller SIM card in order to have more space available for the iPhone.

Apples Iphone 5 A6 processor Clocked At 1 3 GHz

We recently witnessed that the Iphone 5 scored more than 1600 points at the Geekbench benchmark, nearly twice as fast as the new Ipad. However recently it has been known that the A6 processor inside the Iphone 5 is clocked at 1.3 GHz,instead of the reported 1 GHz.

This was revealed by an updated Geekbench 2.3.6 result, with the new version coming yesterday to account for more granular processor frequency detection.

The 1.3 GHz discovery prompted speculation yesterday whether the iPhone 5 goes into temporary overclock under peak loads, but Prime Labs John Poole disagrees: "I dont believe the A6 has any form of processor boost. In our testing, we found the 1.3GHz was constant regardless of whether one core or both cores were busy."

    Marvel Universe 3 75 Wave 1 Daredevil

After going on a figure opening rampage, Ive unearthed for myself some real gems from the older waves of the Marvel Universe line.  Id grown lukewarm about these figures because either I didnt remember why I got them in the first place or simply because newer stuff that I was more eager to open found its way to me.

I opened at least 11 figures in one night, from Bullseye to Electro to everyones favorite superhero lawyer here, and theyve all impressed me in one way or another.

And yes, Ive held on this long to open this guy because partially I lost interest in him as mentioned above and also because I was holding out for a newer, improved release with a slimmer body.  But the recent Wave 12 revision of him made me realize Hasbro werent gonna change things around with DD and it also got me itching to bust him open.  So I did.

What else can I say except that Marvel Universe is an awesome line?  I guess I could take some photos and talk some trash about them...What?  I did?  Oh, I guess I did!  Well, on to the review, then!

This is the last time youll see him on the ground
Like: I quite dig the red theyve used on DD.  Its a dark red with a matte finish and a light wash of black to bring out the muscle tone of the sculpt.   I also like the sharply DD transfer symbol on his chest.  Its sharp and neat, stands out when you look at him closely, and yet blends in with his costume when you don;t!

Dislike: That being said, the buck they used for DD is all wrong. Ol Matty Murdock here is a little thick across the waist and chest, and his neutral pose has him hunched forward slightly like his flexing his chest.  It doesnt help that the neck post sticks forward a little more than it sticks upwards.  DD ends up looking like a tensed Wolverine rather than a lithe acrobat that he is.

Like: The amazing chest pivot.  Yes, Hasbro have got this joint down in Marvel Universe figs.  Even with how thick the torso is, Daredevil is no less flexible in the chest area than classic Spiderman or Captain America.  Who says you cant be fat and be an acrobat? ;P

Dislike: That when you straighten DD up to get him out of that Logan pose, he ends up looking like he has a paunch.  I know!  You shouldnt do so much drinking when youre swinging from building to building, much more so when youre blind!

Seriously though, this is one thing that has really cause Daredevil fans true pain.  I like him quite a bit, though Im not a huge fan by any stretch.  yet, I still feel dissatisfied with he use of this body for some one whos supposed to be agile and nimble like DD.

Like:  His billy clubs.  I like that they stiffened them up, though this means it looks like a pair on nunchuks instead of two short clubs connected by an extendable string.  A stiff "clubs" means better posing but greatly reduces playability.  You might also argue that a soft string attachment between the two ends might even end up more poseable.  Ill agree.  But the way Hasbro made the club gives DD something to smack the likes of Bullseye with it and not look limp doing it.

Or if you prefer the dual clubs look, you could clip out the "chain" in the middle a viola, you have yerself a pair! The only trouble then is that DDs only got one gripping hand, so the dual-wield look will have to wait until you switch it with another grasping left hand.

Dislike: That he doesnt have a place to store his billy clubs.  Heres another reason to argue for making the club connected with a short string--so he can fold em and tuck em into his thigh holder. Now I can imagine a small detail like that wouldve made the figure a real must have for DD of Marvel Knights fans.

Like: His head sculpt.  Its easily overlooked because of shortcomings to body.  DDs got nice short horns, a molded-on mask, and a great stern expression that says he aint messin around!

    RATINGS

Aesthetics: 7/10 - Great shade of red, great head, but wrong body. Paint is decent, face could be painted better to bring out the frown better.  Though it looks horrendous in the close-up, the paint on the face isnt as bad when you got the figure in hand.  His eyes are painted a lighter shade of red and stand out more nicely, while the DD insignia is transferred nice and sharp.

Poseability: 7/10 - Lets face it, Daredevil aint the Man Without Fear unless hes got Spidey or Captain America-like articulation.  With a Cap body, hell not only look slim yet strong, but be able to pull acrobatic poses much better. As he is, the buck isnt half bad in poses.  Its only when hes front-on that he looks a tad tubby.

Fun: 8/10 - Hes the annoying lawyer guy!  Or at least thats what he Rangerlord says.  And since hes the Rangerlords fave character, and he also knows a thing or two about the legal system, who am I to say hes wrong?  Heheh.

Yes, DD really loves that street lamp.
And who can resist the charm of a blind superhero with heightened senses whos also got the worlds most hated occupation?  You just gotta love how conflicted a character Daredevil is!

Value: 7/10 - Daredevil comes from the old Fury Files series, so no stand, one weapon, and his Fury File.  We dont really need a stand, but throwing in a holster for his billy clubs (fixed or a separate piece) would go a long way to making him more worth your money.  While were at it, why not include an alternate Matt Murdock head and his walking stick fer shits and giggles. ;)

Ok, I lied. (See 1st pic)
Overall: 7.25/10 - DD needs to be re-released with the right slimmer body, correct proportions and better articulation quick-fast!  Throw in a couple of new-fangled thigh cuts, a waist swivel, and that swivel/hinged head goodness and add that Billy club holster and youve got a figure Id buy and recommend that others buy for sure.  Daredevils a great character and iconic as well.  So lets not waste it-- its time to give the Devil his due! ;)

DC Universe Classics Green Lantern Wave 1 Kyle Rayner

Seriously, how many DCUC figure come with big swords?  None.  None, except Kyle Rayner here.  But whats truly impressive is the amount of work thats gone into making sure a top notch accessory came out right.  And I guess thats all we as fans ask for: quality.  We dont need a bunch of crude constructs packed in with figures (though that would beat no constructs at all), we just need one; one with quality and that will excite our imaginations.  And thats just what (wrong as it sounds) Kyles big sword does--Excite us!

Kyle is Figure 1 in Wave 1 of the DCUC Green Lantern Series.  I hear that the series will last all of 2 waves, but I have a feeling Mattel has more planned for our Emeral heroes and their enemies in upcoming DCUC spin-off waves. DCUC GL 1 is the first wave I pre-ordered in its entirety--I liked the characters, I liked the new articualtion, and I liked the Collect and Connect figure.  How could I pass it up?

Unfortunately, its also the first wave Im paying the new higher retail price for, having cherry picked in past waves and/or holding back till I found the figures I wanted for reasonable prices. This wave cost me S$35 (US$25) a figure, bringing the total to S$210 ($150).  But thanks to Vincent at Toyrealm, I managed to get em at S$30 (US$21.40) a piece!

So how did Kyle do as the first figure of the series? Well lets see!

Like: The great sword accessory, of course!  Just look at the detail they put on it.  Runes on the blade, hilt etchings, decorated gauntlet.  Just the right size too--huge!

Like: That hes got a different costume from the other Green Lanterns. Yet the differences are only slight--hes a shade darker green and his Green Lantern insignia is off center.  Along with a slightly more matte finish than the other GLs, the suit sets him apart from the rest of the GLs without being wildly different, and makes for less for a uniform and more of a costume.

Like: That even his Lantern insignia is different from the standard fare of green on white of most other GLs.  Its also Rayners own unique design of it, with green on black with a white border.  Hes also had a lot of costume changes and insignia changes to go along with them, but like the current costume itself, I think this Lantern badge makes him look like part of the Corp without being completely different.

Like: That what little paint he has on him is sharp, with especially crisp lines for his mask and hairline.

Like: That they used the old school sculpt for him.  I love the articulation on some of the newer figures like Black Hand and Wave 16s Robin, both of whom have double-jointed knees and elbows.  But these two do take a hit in the looks department as far as those joints go.  The double-joints just look too glaringly obvious on lighter tones like skin.  Theyd probably be more hidden on a costume that has black parts like Kyles, but Im glad that he doesnt have those joints to spoil the overall aesthetics of the figure.  In this instance, I feel he doesnt really need the articulation.  That being said, I wished theyd fix the existing PoAs so that theyd work as intended, for example, the head...

Dislike: That the head ball joint has gone back to not being able to look up much.  The problem crept in when Wave 8 was released and heads were reduced to swivel-only movement.  In his case Kyle can look down and around without any problem, but cant look up at all.  Its a problem because the head is an especial articulation point for characters who can fly.  Even then, not being able to look up in shock as the entire Sinetro Corps swoops down an ya is kind of a bummer.  The poor guy wouldnt even know what hit him.

    RATINGS

Aesthetics: 7.5/10 - Unique uniform that will make him stand out among the Corp, but side by side with other heroes, he seems a little dull.  the standard GL uniform sticks out better among the groups outside the Corps.  But all in all, a well painted figure, a great looking sword and lantern.

Poseability: 8/10 - Hes just your regular DCUC figure with standard articulation. What makes the difference for him is the sword, and a real difference it is.

I also like that hes got nice and tight joints, especially in his legs and ankles.  Some of the figures from previous waves like The Joker I got have very weak leg and ankle joints.  If Mattel made an effort to correct this, then I say bravo.  And this certainly looks to be the case because I got the entire DCUC GL 1 wave and the joints of all the figures are consistently tight.

Fun: 8/10 - Swords are always fun.  That the sword also fits on any standard DCUC male fist is a big plus.  They couldve just made it a big-ass sword but they came up with the idea of a gauntlet to hold it securely as well--this sure adds to the fun of posing ol Kyle over here: who needs a shield when you can block with the same construct youre fighting with? ;)

Value: 8/10 - Great accessory, unique lantern, and Arkillos big ass Right Leg.  Simple additions to go along with a new head with some new tooling for the mask and hair.  Again, the focus on quality (the sword, the new lantern) to go with what already works in the standard buck ad youve got yourself a decent deal for retail price.

Overall: 7.9/10 - Sure, he may not be everybodys favourite Green Lantern of Sector 2814, but he still ranks pretty high up there in the Green lantern Corps.  Hes a must have to go along with Hall, Guy, and John.  The Four Musketeers of the Corp!

While theres not much to gush over about him except maybe his sword, theres not much they did wrong with him (the head movement) either.   If Mattel continues to produce this sort of quality as a baseline for future figures (like the Riddler), wed have a very little to complain about.  That being said, Matty, please dont let it stop you from producing winners like Black Hand and Wave 16s Robin!

    Get it? Get it?
