Effective Guest Blogging Tips

A post for bloggers with effective guest blogging tips to experience its benefits and to perform well in the blogosphere.

Tips For Guest Blogging

Most of the website owners have started considering guest blogging very seriously as it is an effective marketing technique in the online world. Not only bloggers, even multinational companies have started guest blogging for some valid reasons.

If you are an influential blogger, I am sure that you have already started to guest post on other blogs of your same niche and tasting its benefits.

But if you are a newbie blogger, then you might ask “What is guest blogging?” and “Why should I write guest posts on other blogs?

Yeah, both are good questions! But before answering to it,let me ask some questions because I always taking care and love to read other blogs :)

Add “Do you” for every question of mine!

  1. Want to increase credibility among your blog readers?
  2. Need to have more blog subscribers?
  3. Prefer the natural promotion for your blog?
  4. Desire to gain more visibility and traffic to your blog?
  5. Favor effective link building method?
  6. Wish to make friendship with fellow and prominent bloggers?
I know, all your answers for my questions are “YES” as you are a passionate blogger. Then do “Guest blogging” on active blogs to reap these benefits.

Now here is the answer for your very first question:

What Is Guest Blogging?

"Guest blogging is a strategy of appearing on other same niche blogs with your fresh post as a guest."

But be sure that your guest post should not ruin the status of the blog where you are appearing as a guest blogger. It means that you need to submit quality guest posts on other blogs and help those blog owners to get good traffic through your posts.

Hope you are now somewhat clear with “Guest blogging and its benefits”. Am I correct?

I always used to write high quality guest posts for my blogging friends and influential bloggers. Also am feeling virtuous as this is my 13th guest post in my 5 months blogging career.

Ok, let me explain some common myths of guest blogging.

Guest Blogging Myths

Myth #1. Number of guest posts approved is important than its quality.
Some bloggers performing guest blogging just to build backlinks to their blog. They are showing interest to create more number of guest posts on various blogs and never mind about its quality. It is a bad practice and should be avoided by the bloggers.

Truth: Quality guest posts sounds greater than more no. of guest posts submitted just for link-building.

Myth #2: Blogs should have good PR to submit guest post on other blogs.
Newbie bloggers think that their blog should have high Pagerank to submit their guest post on other blogs. It is not true! My guest posts were accepted in PR4 and PR3 blogs and my blog’s page rank is 0. So, don’t hesitate to guest post on energetic blogs even if you have low or zero page rank.

Truth: Valuable guest posts which are helpful for the visitors are readily accepted in famous blogs.

Myth #3: Taking much effort for guest blogging is waste
I came across few bloggers with the statement “Why should I write long and quality posts just for backlinks and I have alternate ways for it”. No it is really wrong and the bloggers should not expect instant results from guest blogging.

Truth: Guest blogging is only effective if it focused to have long term benefits.

Tips To Get Your Guest Posts Accepted

  1. Try to impress the blog owners whom you are selected to submit your guest posts with polite approach and explain why you have selected their blog to submit your post.

  2. You should write guest post for related niches with good PR and high authority blogs, so sure to be thorough with their guidelines of guest posting.

  3. Follow your unique style in writing to stand out from other guest bloggers.

  4. It is really exciting to see your name on well performing blogs right? So include a simple and gorgeous Author-bio for your guest post.

  5. Make efforts to engage the visitors from the beginning of your guest post by offering some fresh or unread data for them.

Race Day Tips for Running Your First Race

So youve done your training for your first race, whether its a 5K, 10K or other race distance. As your race day approaches, you may have some questions and concerns about what to expect on race day. If youre fairly new to running, here are some tips for running your first race.

1. Pick Up Your Race Packet Early

Runners waiting in lineJetta Productions
Pick up your race bib, timing chip (if the race is using them) and goody bag the day before the race, if possible. This way, you wont have to worry about rushing to get it on the morning of the race. Also, youre more likely to get your desired race T-shirt size if you pick it up early.

2. Dont Overdress

A good rule of thumb: Dress as if the weather is 15 degrees warmer than it is. Thats how much youll warm up once you start running. If its cold, you can always wear warmer clothes while youre waiting for the race to start. Many races offer a gear check where you can store your bag with extra clothes for before and after the race.

3. Choose Your Pre-Race Food Wisely

Eat a meal at least one hour prior to the start of the race. Choose something high in carbohydrates and lower in fat, fiber, and protein. Stay away from rich, fatty, or high-fiber foods, as they may cause gastrointestinal distress.

4. Pin Your Bib

Race bibPhoto by Gary John Norman
Your race bib goes on the front of your shirt, not the back. You can use safety pins on all four corners of the bib to keep it in place. Its important to wear your bib to let race officials know youre part of the race. In addition, if there are official race photographers on the course, theyll use your bib number to identify your race photos. So make sure your number is clearly visible when you see photographers on the course and especially at the finish line. If theres a B-Tag timing deviceon the back of your race bib, make sure its not bent or covered with clothing or a running belt.

5. Get There Early

Arrive at the race site early to make sure you get a parking spot. Regardless of whether youre driving there or not, youll also need time to pick up your number (if you havent already), check your bag, take awarm-up jog, and use the bathroom (the lines may be long).

6. Line Up Properly

Dont line up near the front of the starting line. Faster, more seasoned runners dont like to weave around newbie (and likely slower) runners at the start of the race. Some races have corrals based on estimated pace or post pace signs. If not, ask runners nearby their anticipated pace. If its faster than yours, move further back. It will be easier to fall into your pace if youre around people that are the same speed as you.

7. Use the Water Stops

Take advantage of the water stations on the course. If youve never done it before, here are some tips on how to take water from a hydration stop. And dont forget to thank the volunteers for handing out water!

8. Bring Your Support Team

Invite your friends and family members to support you. Ask them to stand near the finish line so they can cheer you on at the end. It will be much easier to push yourself at the end if you know youll see your loved ones there.

4 Tips for Becoming a Blogging Networking Machine

I get over 10,000 daily page visits on my blog. I network like mad. So I snag that many visits. If I did not network at all I might as well write a diary.

Blogging is creating value and networking. Talented bloggers with no network struggle to make money blogging or to even attract a few readers.

Networking machines who might not be talented bloggers usually make money blogging because their massive network of friends trust them.

Example
Observe the most successful people on earth: Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Warren Buffet. Each person builds a massive network of friends to aid them. To inspire them. To promote them.
When you have a gazillion people on your side life becomes so much easier. 10, 100 or 1,000 other bloggers promote your content. Which is how I get 10,000 page visits on a daily basis.

So how do you build a massive blogging network?

Build Blogging Network

1# Be a Friend to Become a Friend
Be a friend. Support people you meet. Be nice. Be helpful. Be a friend. This is simple. This simple act sets the foundation for a prospering relationship.
How do you treat offline friends? Well treat your online blogging friends the same way. Help. Go above and beyond to support your friends.

2# Create Comments like Content
The easiest way to make an impact in minutes is to read a blog post and create a memorable, valuable, piece of content with your comments. You will stand out from the crowd and make a ton of friends.
Comments can be your best friend in the networking department. Bloggers love receiving comments. Awesome comments? Well heck, you will have a blogger friend for life if you post 3-4 paragraph masterpieces on their blog, because each comment is a piece of content.

This means that search engines love crawling sites and seeing many insightful comments. Active, engaging blogs do well in search engines which of course spikes your blog traffic quickly.

3# Create Guest Posts for Buddies
I reached out to Ankit to see if he needed me to write a guest post. He did. So I churned this out. Here I am, making buddies with his audience and strengthening my relationship with Ankit too.

My network grows stronger and guess what? Guest posting benefits me too. Win-win situation here. I expand my presence and boost my blog traffic while providing Ankit with helpful, relevant content for his blog.
So our friendship grows stronger, my network expands and both parties win.
Be aggressive on the guest posting front to become a real networking machine. Famous entertainers network like mad, collaborating with other singers. Same deal with guest blogging. Showing up everywhere makes you memorable.

4# Open Up Your Blog to Guest Posting
This one is tough to follow for many bloggers. Perfectionists or selfish people want all the publicity for themselves. Unfortunately, selfish, greedy people make few friends in this world.
Generous people become networking machines. Because generous people are popular; we all love free givers.
I have roughly 20 guest posters on my blog. More are hopping on board quickly though as I sort through my email and field requests.

Hey, who WOULDN’T want to post on a blog that gets 10,000 page visits daily? And if I allow people to post, to share my platform, I am going to meet more, and more people, and my network grows, and my page visits will jump on autopilot as I simply review, hit “Publish”, and my network grows again.

Tips For Resolving Hard Drive Failure

By: Stewart Wrighter

After a computer failure, hard drive recovery is still a possibility. When it happens, it is typically completely unexpected and unwanted. A buzzing or ticking sound which indicates that the hard drive is failing may be the only thing to indicate what has just happened, and that all of the data on a hard drive has been lost completely. Because most of us keep quite a bit of important information on our computers, data hard drive recovery has become an important industry. The recovery process is an essential task performed by quite a few technicians in computer shops.

There are two ways it can become damaged: internally or externally. Physical failure or external damage can occur as the result of fluctuations in power or heavy impact on the unit. Internal damage is most often caused when software is corrupted, when bad file structure exists or when the hard drive has been attacked by a virus. Internal damage is also called logical failure. Both logical failure and physical failure can be rectified by a technician who knows his stuff; in many cases, data can be successfully recovered.

When a problem occurs, the nature of it must be deciphered before the recovery process can begin. Scandisk can be run to see what is going on with the hard drive; it will scan the hard drive and look for damaged parts. Some programs can even determine whether there has been physical damage to the unit. Data can usually be drawn out by such programs, with the data from the damaged sectors being copied to an undamaged locale. There are many types of data recovery software programs available, with some being much more high-end than others. They can help computer owners recover any lost data without ever having to take the hard drive to a computer technician.

Physical damage can be a complicated matter to resolve – even those software recovery programs which detect it will not be able to completely settle the matter. It is best to seek expert advice when this sort of damage occurs. A professional will be able to go over the damaged hard drive and determine how much of the data can be recovered. The kind of technology necessary to recover data from a damaged physical hard drive is not the sort that many will have at home so taking a hard drive in to a computer facility will be your best bet for recovery. For example, technicians may use magnetometers to extract fragments of damage and attempt to rebuild the data that had previously existed on the drive.

Because many of us depend upon computers to earn an income, this type of failure can be particularly daunting. But as previously mentioned, both types of failures can be remedied, though to what extent depends upon the damage done. In order to ensure the best possible outcome, take it in to see a professional at the first opportunity. You do not want to make the problem worse before it can be made better.

Netbook Purchase Tips

By: Roberto Sedycias

Netbook is the novel and hottest craze in portable computing, as lugging a 17`` laptop everywhere can be neatly replaced by buying an ultra portable netbook. Conversely, shopping for a netbook is best by following some buying tips.

Identifying computing needs: This is an immense factor worth considering and needs proper thinking and planning about using the netbook and the related software that you need. This depends on the fact about using it for web surfing or checking email or doing some serious jobs such as video editing or graphic designing. Netbook is appropriate for lower intensive tasks that comprises of web browsing, email checking and replying, besides office applications. A netbook with full size is recommended for jobs that are processor intensive.

Portability features: Carrying a netbook around involves comprehending the size and weight as the main factor. Netbook is available in plenty of sizes, but definitely is tiny and weights less in comparison to the bulky laptops. The portability features certainly is favorable only when the netbook is light in weight and small in size. The battery size and weight also requires to be considered as some power adaptors come heavy and large in size.

Comprehending the storage types: Types of netbook available in the market should be comprehended as it helps in selecting the desired to suit the needs and wants of the buyer. Netbook comes in SSD and HDD storage types such that SSD, the Solid State Drives boot faster, possess withstanding impact and is a bit faster in performance, but is notorious for low storage. Contrarily, HDD, the Hard Disk Drives netbook stores up to 160GB data, but are weaker withstanding impacts in comparison to their counterparts, SSD. Buying a fast netbook with less storage capacity or a netbook offering high capacity, but is slow in booting depends completely on the desire and need of the buyer.

Considering the netbook`s brand: Considering the brand before purchasing is essential as the market today is filled with numerous brands of netbooks. However, good brands such as ASUS certainly carry high repute, and are followed by many more manufacturers of netbook such as Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo and MSI. These manufacturers vary in their signatures and a buyer should know these details prior to purchase, such as ASUS have small keyboards. It is necessary to know the different brand netbooks as well as their differences, and this can be understood by researching in the internet with patience.

Operating system: Similar to the desktop computers having Mac and Windows as operating system competitors, the netbook has Windows XP and Linux for competition. The netbook models are shipped by different manufacturers with an operating system, and hence every netbook is either featured with a Windows XP or Linux version. However, Linux version netbooks are well-known for their security and stability, while the Windows XP netbooks have gained the topmost popularity. Compatibility of versions is a must and hence a buyer usually opts for Windows XP netbook, as it is tough to switch paradigms facilitating Linux.

Reading reviews: User reviews play a vital role in determining the performance of some netbooks. Manufacturers do not leave any opportunity in hyping their product so that their sales are boosted. But, reading the reviews will assist in knowing the value or the rundown of a netbook model. Reading independent reviews of products offered in online computer magazines and searching the internet for more reviews will give valuable information about a product to be purchased.

Comparison: Settling for a shopping website at the first attempt is not recommended. Comparing prices from minimum three or five netbook sellers is the best before placing the order. Comparison is required as some websites offer the netbooks cheaper as they deal on wholesale orders, while others do the same and sell second hand netbooks. If buying online, make sure the you are dealing with a trusted website.

Important Data Recovery Tips

Holly Altman

File Recovery Services

Data recovery services can be an emergency situation. Of less importance of whether the device is repairable, the more concerning part is whether your important data, documents, and family pictures are able to be saved. All data recovery technicians and associated labs should be able to prove a consistent, reliable, and most of all industry trusted reputation.

Faulty Hard Drive

There can be two main reasons your data is in accessible - mechanical & non-mechanical. Mechanical failures are problems of the physical hard drive heads, platters, or even main board of the hard drive. For this there are two main services to perform. Firstly to repair the drive and try to get a read of the drives contents. Secondly transfer the recovered data to a new drive. Non-Mechanical issues are usually whereby data has been corrupted, and/or there are bad sectors on the drive. Additionally other problems with the drive could lead to data access issues. For this repair type it I usual to attempt repair of the drive to a readable level, then start the recovery processes to obtain the drives data.

Backup Software Tools

Current backups can be one of the most time and money saving assets when a data loss event happens. File recovery services can be mitigated with a recent backup and usually savings can be hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars with loss productivity and valuable documents. There exist many cloud (online) backup tools and also a simple USB portable hard drive can assist with some additional tools. If consistent changes are being completed on important documents it may not be convenient to keep a recent backup so consider arranging an Hotmail account and email the various dated versions to this account. This process will give you a dated archive as well as a current version in the case of a hard drive failure which can be ideal.

Estimated Recovery Prices

Generally a data recovery lab will be able to give you an idea of costs. A data recovery lab should be able to give you a general estimation of costs, or at least give an idea of what it could cost depending on what the issues are. Usually the cost is around $100-$250 for low level recoveries. $250-$700 for medium and upper level recoveries. With the top range of $700 and more for extensive damage to a drive and likely physical malfunctions of the hard drive itself. As always keep a back up to save you this expense and stress, and if you do have such a problem, call around to find a trusted repair centre in your area.
