Well,most of you people are aware of the main difference between Android and iOS -customization vs ease of use.Well,first of all,when you turn your phone on you go to the lockscreen.Well the lockscreens in both the platforms are very different.In Iphone you get the typical Slide to unlock lockscreen,whereas in case of android jellybean you will be confronted with the drag to unlock lockscreen.However.there is one major difference -in case of iOS you are restricted to the Slide to unlock feature whereas in android you will get a whole bunch of third party lockscreens that you can install,thus enhancing your experience.

User Interface

Well after the lockscreen comes the user interface.In iOS 6 you are once again presented with the plain icons.In case of android once again it is all about customization.One thing that I noticed is that folders open faster in jellybean than iOS ,maybe because of project butter.

Well in this case it is almost a tie only a slight edge to android because of more allowance of choices in this area.

‘Mobile’ and ‘social,’ walk hand in hand, and phone makers know how much social networks matter to the masses. Last year iOS 5 had Twitter integration and Apple added Facebook integration this year, to make the iOS 6 completely socially integrated. Jelly Bean follows suit, and you get integrated social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Picasa, its own Google+, and more.

Seemingly, Google offers more integration, and yes of course it is also trying to pimp its Google+. Apple has also integrated the two most popular social networks.

mPassport Seva Mobile App now available on Windows and Apple iOS platforms

mPassport Seva mobile app which was launched on Android platform is now available for both windows and iOS platforms. mPassport Seva Mobile App enables Indian Citizens to access Passport related information on their Smartphones. This application provides a wide variety of services such as status tracking, locating a Passport Office and other general information.

The application provides information on various steps involved to obtain a passport related service and related phone numbers in case of queries or concerns. The users will be able to search for a Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or District Passport Cell (DPC) in a district where a passport application can be submitted. This can also be searched based on PIN code. For certain States and Districts, the users can search for Police Stations as well.

Users can also track the status of their passport applications by providing File Number and Date of Birth. In case the passport has been dispatched, Delivery Status can also be tracked.

Blackberry Pauses BBM Roll Out for Android and iOS Blames the Unreleased Version

The much awaited release of Blackberry Messenger (BBM) for Android and iOS that gained attention of various social networking sites and users alike on Saturday turned off many before even turning into reality.
The global roll out of the popular messaging app that was scheduled for android and iOS users on Sept 21st and Sept 22nd respectively left many users confused and disappointed before its official release with the
company later pausing its roll-out across globe.

Blackberry however blamed the unreleased version of the BBM for Android app that was posted online prior to its official launch. “This unreleased version caused issues, which we have attempted to address throughout the day”, said the company. The tweet on the official twitter account of BBM reads:
“We know you’re waiting. Pausing #BBM4All rollout to fix issues caused by unreleased BBM for Android app.”

The unreleased version saw more than 1.1 million active users in the first 8 hours (as per the company’s
announcement), which clearly shows the interest of Android users in BBM. The lucky iPhone users who have already downloaded BBM will be able to continue using the messaging app.The unreleased app will however be disabled, and customers who downloaded it should visit www.BBM.com to register for updates on official BBM for Android availability.

We still don’t know the exact date when Blackberry will resume its BBM roll out services for third party platforms, but once they are able, the company will begin a staggered country roll-out of BBM for Android and continue the roll-out of BBM for iPhone.

Carmageddon Game Review iOS

Carmageddon

Carmageddon was actually a vehicular combat game,which came out in 1997. Because of the violence in the game, which was too much for a game at that time, it was either heavily censored or banned in several countries around the world.
The game has now been ported over to mobile, with the iOS version out now on the App Store and an Android version supposedly in the works.

Like the original, Carmageddon for iOS is a vehicular combat game. To win in this game, you have to do one of three things. You can race around the track, going through every checkpoint and complete all the laps just like you would in a normal racing game. It may seem boring so you can take down all of your opponents, crashing you car into theirs until their cars are totaled. Lastly, you can also choose to run over every single person or animal you see on the track. These choices aren’t mutually exclusive, and you can do them all simultaneously.

The last one is the least feasible because there are an insane number of people on the streets and it would take you ages to run over all of them. The best thing to do is to just run over those that are within reach instead of going out of your way for each of them. Running over people and animals has its advantages, where you get points and also extra time. You need the extra time to finish the race before the clock runs out.

You can also smash into your opponents if one wanders along your path, which they often do. Opponents actively try to take each other out and if they are near you they will come after you, which gives you the convenient opportunity to take them down instead. Run over enough people, smash enough cars and complete all the laps and you win the race.

The more races you win, the more credit you get, which lets you upgrade your vehicles. You also unlock more vehicles and tracks as you keep playing. You can also use the in-app purchase option to unlock all the vehicles and tracks for a dollar each.

The world in which you race are pretty wide, wider than even most modern racing games where you are limited to the track. You can just go off the road and wander around, running over people and animals. The wide open environments sometimes makes hunting for opponents to take down a bit difficult, though, as they tend to get lost in the world. This is why car combat games usually feature tightly packed levels that keep the action contained within easy reach.

As far as the vehicles are concerned, there is a good variety of them but they handle more or less the same. The handling is quite terrible and the cars seem to have no grip at all. The lack of precision makes everything from going after pedestrians to hunting down your opponents or simply just racing around the track seem like a chore. The camera is also a mild annoyance as it takes too long to quickly turn around and point in the direction where you should be looking.

The transition to touchscreen has been done quite well. You have large on-screen buttons to turn, accelerate and brake. There is a handbrake button to make a quick drift. You see the damage to your vehicle in the top right corner and you can tap on it to repair it. As before, you can see the chosen driver on the left and their reactions to everything that you do in the game but you can slide the panel to remove it from the screen.

The game features a recording feature where you can record the events on the screen. You can also get instant action replays whenever you want.

iOS 6 Appears In Over 60 Iphones

Apple’s latest operating system version, iOS 6, has already made its way to over 60% of iPhones.

The new update has also made its way to roughly 45% of iPads and just below 40% of iPods since its release on September 19th.

The statistics, tracked by Chitika data analytics, reflects data gathered on September 30, so the totals are surely even higher today. Chitika claims that the reasons for the higher version fragmentation on the iPad and iPod as opposed to the iPhone is that certain versions of the iPod touch can’t go past iOS 4, and the lack of incentives offered by carriers to encourage upgrades.

Overall, having to concentrate on only a handful of devices allows Apple to ensure quick rollout of its OS versions, and is far and away better than what Google can offer on Android.
