iPhone 5 India Release Date

iPhone 5 India Release Date
According to reports by BGR India, Apple’s latest device, the iPhone 5, will be launched on October 26th, 2012. It is actually believed that Apple will introduce the phones in numerous countries in two phases-the first phase will begin on October 19th and the second phase will begin on October 26th, which is when the phones will arrive in India. However, the company refused to comment on the much-awaited iPhone 5 launch in India.

The Delhi-based executive editor of BGR India, Rajat Agrawal, confirmed that the iPhone 5 will indeed be launched on the last Friday of this month in India. This launch will differ from previous Apple launches because the company claims that they will handle the sales of the device directly other than partnering with Indian telecom firms like Aircel or Airtel. However, Mr. Agrawal said that he is uncertain about the number of units that will arrive in India due to the shortage of iPhone 5’s that Apple has been facing.

The price of the new iPhone 5 is yet to be set though most experts concur that the basic model will cost approximately Rs 45,000. This estimated cost is based on last year’s launch price for the iPhone 4S and the cost of an unlocked iPhone 5 in nations like Singapore, which is about Rs 43,600.
iPhone 5 India Price
The iPhone 5 is selling like wildfire in the USA!
After the new iOS device was launched in the United States in September, mixed reviews from customers were received as some claimed that it was boring while other stated that the product was amazing. The iPhone 5 was available in other countries such as Britain, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Japan, Germany, Singapore and Canada by September 21st, 2012. In addition to those, the company plans to launch the device in 100 countries as soon as possible, which will make it the fastest unveiling of any iPhone so far.

The release of the iPhone 5 in India before the Diwali festival is expected to increase its sales. According to an IDC report, India doesn’t have the subsidized pricing benefits that are available in other markets and therefore the cost of purchasing this iPhone and its accessories will be very high. Due to this reason, it can be assumed that it will take a while before Apple becomes a key player in the telecommunications industry in India regardless of whether or not the sales of the new iPhone will surpass those of the iPhone 4S.

5 Best Car Apps for Android

banner-best-car-enthusiast-app-list

Driving a car, a vehicle or moving by a mean of public transport sometimes makes us restless. What we seek is our own space, a kind of privacy where you are the boss. Driving a car becomes steering “The Mother Ship” of the aliens out of this planet, or moving in any public means becomes a DJ Club or An Arcade, where you are so into it that you forget, what are you doing and that too where. Here, we were referring to the music, or fun games we play.

But seriously, being in a vehicle becomes a monotonous task when it comes to a regular basis. There should be something, that could give or add a little bit of spark to that very existence of your in that mode of transport.

And this is what came into the minds of the working heads of the developers’ team in various Tech Giants like Apple, Google etc. And to add that little bit of newness or awesomeness into your daily routine, many apps were developed. And here we, bring to you some of the best apps that could that *spark* into your driving experience too.

Voice Actions:

5 Best Car Apps

When Apple came up with the Siri, many statements surrounded the tech world, conspiring that now all apps are acting similarly. But Voice actions have got something different or out of regular scales. The developers added the basic functions like writing texts, making and receiving emails and setting up meetings. There’s also ability to set-up reminders which are from the Voice Actions app itself, and you can also tap into phone and contacts.

The app can also work with maps, translations, opening specific websites, searching Google, and playing music. The feature list is definitely extensive, and there are many things you can find and do with your voice. So just try it out, as it would be fun to give instructions while driving. You can get it on iOS, Mac or Android app store.

iOnRoad:

Ionroad

The name is just as appealing as the app is for the drivers, since it is just based on the basic aim of safety. Suggestive name; “eye on the road” to that of “iOnRoad”.

The app  iOnRoad is a driver safety app that uses a combination of GPS data and augmented reality to monitor the road ahead for potential collisions. So we are talking about Augmented Reality, that is something to look for. By warning distracted drivers that they’re too close to the vehicle ahead, iOnRoad could save money on low-speed fender benders or save lives when speeds get higher.

Gas Buddy:

Gasbuddy

It’s best when we get something for free, and if not then for cheaper prices. So here is an app, which solves one of the issues of your rising gas prices or bill.

Gas Buddy helps you find the cheapest gas prices. You can either search gas prices by city or zip, or you can search using your location too. Its data is crowd sourced, meaning users enter the gas prices when they fill-up at a station. The app tells you underneath each price when it was last updated. And the best thing, since it is an open source based app, you get the best and at its best.

Waze:

Waze

We rarely ever lose our direction, or get lost in our place. But sometimes it requires a push to go to new places and that’s the time when you look out for GPS and other directional devices.

Waze is one such app that solves your problem right away. Waze is a social app, which collects data as you are driving and lumps it together with data from other drivers to relay real-time traffic conditions. It uses data points, search, voice recognition and calculations to get you where you want to go, with turn by turn and sharing interesting places and favorite eatery and details about your trip. A truly fun and useful app.

iWrecked:

iWrecked

This is one of those apps that you should have, but hope you never have to use. iWrecked is a kind of a helper in the event of an accident.

This app gives easy to read instructions as to what to do after an accident. You can use the app when an accident occurs, just click a pic and a tore it in the photo album. The app tags the location, date and time of the incident. You can even fill out an accident report and find the nearest towing location. A helper in time of bad situations and during the worst case scenarios it helps by providing you the quickest help. Go and Get it.

5 Web Based Scanning Tools

By: Robert Corter

As attacks on web based scanning application continue to threaten the internet platform, the demand for tools on website scanning and security check continues to grow. Gone are the days of checking out on common hacks and picking websites at hand - software developers and IT pros can now use automated web application testing tools to gather reports and use them as guidelines in fixing security-related bugs or issues.

Web based scanning has become a part of the entire web application testing method for determining bugs in the software development cycle. And because security in web based scanning has become a crucial part of the software expansion, several requirements like the Payment Card Security Standard has been regulated to scan any web-based stuff and its vulnerability to ensuring security.

There are three key elements in an effective web based scanning program: defining the purpose & scope of the scan, assembling a readable & usable report and deciding on the right scanning tools to use during application. Even if the website is filled with security loopholes, it is very important to scan reports that can be translated into action (by means of upgrading) in order to regulate or, better yet, fix web scanning issues.

SECURITY is very essential in web based scanning. Take note that all websites are designed with relevant information about the company involved. These days, the cutthroat process of "website defacement" is done to trace hackers. So if you want to secure your web based scanning application instead of considering its susceptibility to hackers, here are top five web scanning vulnerability tools for both Linux and Windows platform.

WEBSECURIFY Web Security Testing

This is a cross-operating system testing tool available on Windows, Linux and Mac OS. WEBSECURIFY is considered the best web scanning vulnerability tool that helps control risks throughout your web application.

NETSPARKER Web Security Application Scanner

A highly-commercialized web scanning tool designed to find certain vulnerabilities over web application, NETSPARKER comes with a 30-day trial version for those who want to use rapid "web penetration" testing in determining security issues within the application.

NIKTO Web Scanner

Considered as the #1 source for web vulnerability scanning, NIKTO is available in Linux platform as well as page script distributors like BackBox, GnackTrack and BackTrack. You can also use this tool in Mac and Windows 7 platform, but make sure that you downloaded a fully-upgraded Perl Script first.

SKIPFISH Web Scanning Vulnerability Tool

This is the first automatic web scanning tool designed to trace all vulnerabilities under a single application. The unique thing about SKIPFISH is that you dont need to become an expert only to find scanning vulnerability in your website. The tool is available in the BackTrack 5 format.

OWASP (Proxy-ZAP) Zed Attack

This tool started out as an open web scanning application project by a non-profit organization dedicated in improving web scanning and security. The Zed Attack is a proxy used to integrate web penetrating tools into a single application (through using OWASPs automatic web scanning functionality).

3 v 1 for the iPhone 5

While many are waiting for the iPhone 5 supposedly coming out this September. There has been many changes within the iPhone. There are going to be 4 major changes in the iPhone.

Relationships with Google going sour with Apple?

The first removal would be the Google Maps App that is already installed in the iPhone. There hasnt been news about whether there will be a Google Map app in the Apple App Store, but there wont be stock App already installed in the iPhone 5.

Secondly, YouTube will also be removed from the pre-installed App on the iPhone.

The next major change in the iPhone that people are already complaining about is the new connector that Apple has decided to change. Currently, whether you are using the iPhone, iPod, or iPad, they all are using the 30 pin connector. iPhone 5 will be using a 19pin connector. This will change a lot of accessories for the new upcoming iPhone. The reason for this change is in order to have a 4G radio on the iPhone.

Lastly, this is probably the only good change that will be happening to the iPhone is the new nano microSIM. The iPhone5 will be having a smaller SIM card in order to have more space available for the iPhone.

Apples Iphone 5 A6 processor Clocked At 1 3 GHz

We recently witnessed that the Iphone 5 scored more than 1600 points at the Geekbench benchmark, nearly twice as fast as the new Ipad. However recently it has been known that the A6 processor inside the Iphone 5 is clocked at 1.3 GHz,instead of the reported 1 GHz.

This was revealed by an updated Geekbench 2.3.6 result, with the new version coming yesterday to account for more granular processor frequency detection.

The 1.3 GHz discovery prompted speculation yesterday whether the iPhone 5 goes into temporary overclock under peak loads, but Prime Labs John Poole disagrees: "I dont believe the A6 has any form of processor boost. In our testing, we found the 1.3GHz was constant regardless of whether one core or both cores were busy."

5 Awesome SMS Android Apps

By: Danny Ashton

One of the basic needs of a mobile phone is to be able to connect to other people by the power of texting. Text messaging, also known as SMS, is one of the functions never to be missed out in a phone. Although text messaging is an old function, it is good to know that its style has evolved over time. The Android market, for one, never fails to give SMS a modern touch. Currently, there are numerous applications that can help manage your SMS messages and present them in a visually appealing way but among these apps, the five hailed as awesome are presented below:

1. SMS Popup
This is a customizable application that comes with features to improve the efficiency of your SMS. SMS Popup’s user interface is simple and functional. One of its useful features is the popup dialog box which allows you to reply quickly once you receive a new message. Whenever you get a new SMS, a small dialog box will pop up showing the message and the person sending it. Moreover, you can simply reply or delete the SMS with this dialog box. What’s more amazing is that you can use the app’s voice button to use the speech-to-text feature. This is especially great when you’re already tired using your precious thumbs. Surely, SMS Popup is one must-have extension to your standard SMS application.

2. Handcent SMS
This is an enhanced SMS application that gives you a lot of customization options. This app shows text message conversations in a bubble design that is easier to follow and is more pleasing to look at as compared to the standard SMS system in Android. Still, you can change the background color of your conversations, choosing from several types of message presentations and importing new font packages to fancy up the lettering. Once you open Handcent on your Android phone, you will see a list of your contacts and to start a messaging session with a new contact, you either choose an existing contact or you hit a button at the top of the screen. After choosing a contact, you will see a screen containing a message stream from your most recent messaging session with that particular contact. You can now start the messaging and continue the stream. Handcent’s interface includes a phone button at the top of each messaging screen in case you decide to stop the messaging session and call the person. A Handcent widget on your phone also tells you if you have new messages and how many there are. Overall, this app lets you spruce up the look and feel of your Android phone’s messaging function.

3. ChompSMS
This is one great text messaging app that includes features like contact picture thumbnails, time stamps on messages which are shown in sequence, set-up of specific ringtones for contacts, and blacklisting of certain numbers. Compared to other applications, Chomp SMS is very much the same but the only difference is that it features ads along the bottom of your screen. Also, if you want to enable the quick call and contact picture functions, you just need to go to Settings, then customize Look, scroll to the bottom and check the last two features. The bonus point of this app is that it features a free text messaging service called TextFreek. However, it is only exclusive among TextFreek users.

4. GoSMS
Among the different SMS applications, this is the only app that offers security and back-up or recovery settings. Such settings are handy especially if you’re thinking of doing a factory reset or you want to change phones. The security settings are very similar to Android’s lock screen settings, which offer pin-based unlocking methods.

5. Google Voice
One of the features of this app is that it assigns a personal phone number to you as the user. You can use this number to make calls or to send text messages via the web. Google Voice’s online service archives your voice mails and text messages, giving you a guarantee that you will never lose your conversations. The downside of this app is that it lacks customization options or most of the features that other apps have. However, it makes up with its ability to send free text messages and to sync with your Google account. In case you’d run into Wi-Fi hotspots or you want to make some international calls, Google Voice would always come in handy.

iPhone 5 users dominate Galaxy S3 users in web traffic!

The on-going battle between Apple’s latest device, the iPhone 5 and Samsung’s forerunner, the Samsung  Galaxy S3, has produced a new winner in the latest contest. Recently, a study was carried out by Chitika to find out which of the phones had more web traffic and the results they got proved to be very interesting.

iphone 5 vs galaxy s3
The Galaxy S3 Sapphire Black
The expectation had been that the Samsung Galaxy S3 would have garnered another win seeing as how it was released in late May and the iPhone 5 was launched only a few weeks ago. However, according to the study performed by Chitika, that is not the case. In their study it became clear that the iPhone 5 won over the Galaxy S3! Or rather, the users did. Let us explain...

So far, the Samsung has managed to sell over 20 million units of the Galaxy S3 in comparison to the 5 million iPhone 5’s that have been sold since it was launched 3 weeks ago. In addition, the sales of the Galaxy S3 are still more than those of the iPhone 5 according to recent reports. Even with those outstanding numbers, the study revealed that users of the iPhone 5 are more active than the users of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with regard to web traffic.

iphone 5 better than galaxy s3
The iPhone 5
The Chitika analysis was carried out over a 7-day period between October 3rd, 2012 and October 9th, 2012. The analysis was based on a large number of mobile advertisement impressions from both the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. From those statistics, the analysts were able to track the difference in Internet traffic volumes between the two phones.

It is expected that more studies will be conducted by Chitika as well as other companies to track various statistics for phones or devices that have been launched recently. The statistics are important because from them we are able to see how mobile development is growing. It is assumed that with time, mobile usage will surpass that of the PC, which may one day become obsolete.

Mobile advertisements are going to hold more weight as tablets and smartphones become increasingly available. From the data received by Chitika, it can be seen that search engines like Google would make more profits from mobile advertisements on the iPhone 5 rather than on the Samsung Galaxy S3.

iPhone 5 Screen Size

Screens are getting bigger on smartphones and this is no small part thanks to the Android manufactures who seem to go by the philosophy - bigger is better, even though huge screen (5 inches, really?) arent that needed. If you really have a need for so many different medias such as video, then why not get a tablet? Settling for some sort of in between option is never a good idea in life, so why settle for it when it comes to your devices? Even so, Apple is losing market share as possible buyers choose other options over their iPhone because of the screen size. This time around, it seems that Apple wants to put their foot down and get back on the leader role on market.
Leaked render of the possible iPhone 5 screen
For this reason, the old 3.5 inch screen size may soon be replaced with a 4.6 inch screen. A huge change to Apples legacy and what Steve Jobs used to tell us? Perhaps, but maybe this new change is better. Fans of Apples products will probably not mind the bigger screen sizes, and if they stated their disappointment then Apple could easily come up with a 3.5 inch model of the product as well. One of the more interesting things is that the new screen size would certainly bring a brand new design that would step away from the classic minimalism design of the iPhone we are used to. So what will the iPhone 5 look like, any ideas? Well, only a few...

What Users Think of the iPhone 5 Screen Size

The general opinion is that while it there isnt any harm to getting a larger screen, it really isnt that big of deal to get it in the first place. A majority of users, however, do wish to go for a 4 inch screen and think the iPhone 5 should certainly feature it. Those who dont want a 4 to 4.6 inches screen size should still be able to get the smaller version, its not rocket science Apple! But when you think about it, the 4 inch screen does make a lot of sense. It will give you more options and still not be too bulky or large. Fans of the older 3.5 inch size would easily get used to it and the transition wouldnt be so hard.

Another important side note should be the design, the iPhone 4S really looked like the previous model and didnt bring anything new to the distinguish it from the others. The iPhone 5 must come with a new and improved design with more variety, but still keep to its old elegant and familiar tradition.

What do you think? What size do you want the phone to have?
