Screen o Meter
Screen-o-Meter
I ran into a problem the other day. I needed to know how big an envelope was, but I couldn’t find a tape measure or a ruler to save my life. So, I started looking online for one and ran into this Web site!
Screen-o-Meter is a site that allows you to measure things online with your monitor’s screen. All you need to know is the size of the screen your monitor has. If you were to measure it, you would measure the diagonal length of the screen from corner to corner. The site is set up to work with TFT and LCD monitors, but with some adjustments, you can use it with a CRT monitor as well.
To begin measuring, set the monitor screen size. Choose the correct one from the drop down box on the right hand side of the page.
Next, select how long you want the Screen-o-Meter to be. Then click on the Let’s See button. That will take you to the page where your ruler will load.
On the Measurement page, you can test it to see if its accurate. You’ll put in your screen size and then click on the Check button. When the page loads, there will be a large orange circle. If a CD or DVD fits in the circle perfectly, you know you are calibrated right and youre getting precise measurements.
Back on the main page, under the Main Measurement field, you’ll see a link for a rectangular ruler. Thats how you would measure envelopes and such. You just put in the dimensions you’re trying to get and it makes a ruler for it. For example, you could do 3x5, 5x7, 8x11, etc.
Seeing as I can never find a ruler or tape measure when I need one, I know I’ll be using this Web site a lot. I hope you will too!

We are already seeing different aspects of the Blackberry 10,though it will not be released before 2013. Those are proofs that Blackberry 10 is going to be quite different.However, BlackBerry 10 faces stiff competition now,and needs to have a few features that make you say, "Wow!" . Merely matching Android will not be enough for RIM.

How to Change Windows 7 logon screen
In other versions of windows you have to use some hacks of third-party tools to change the logon screen. But in win7 you can officially customize your logon screen to your wish.
Follow these steps to change your Windows 7 logon screen.
1) The image should be a .JPG and no more than 245 KB.
2) Image resolution can be your choice.
3) Now download the reg file from here and extract it to your hard drive and double-click on the file to enable this feature (Alternative method: right-click, select Merge).
4) Now navigate to C:WindowsSystem32oobe and here, create a new folder named "Info". Again, create a new folder inside the Info folder and rename it as "backgrounds".
5) Now copy your .JPG pic to this "backgrounds" folder and rename it to "backgroundDefault".
6) Thats it. Reboot your system and see the change.
The following files (sorted by width-to-height ratio) are supported in C:WindowsSystem32oobeInfoBackgrounds folder:

iPhone 5 Screen Size
Screens are getting bigger on smartphones and this is no small part thanks to the Android manufactures who seem to go by the philosophy - bigger is better, even though huge screen (5 inches, really?) arent that needed. If you really have a need for so many different medias such as video, then why not get a tablet? Settling for some sort of in between option is never a good idea in life, so why settle for it when it comes to your devices? Even so, Apple is losing market share as possible buyers choose other options over their iPhone because of the screen size. This time around, it seems that Apple wants to put their foot down and get back on the leader role on market.

For this reason, the old 3.5 inch screen size may soon be replaced with a 4.6 inch screen. A huge change to Apples legacy and what Steve Jobs used to tell us? Perhaps, but maybe this new change is better. Fans of Apples products will probably not mind the bigger screen sizes, and if they stated their disappointment then Apple could easily come up with a 3.5 inch model of the product as well. One of the more interesting things is that the new screen size would certainly bring a brand new design that would step away from the classic minimalism design of the iPhone we are used to. So what will the iPhone 5 look like, any ideas? Well, only a few...
What Users Think of the iPhone 5 Screen Size
The general opinion is that while it there isnt any harm to getting a larger screen, it really isnt that big of deal to get it in the first place. A majority of users, however, do wish to go for a 4 inch screen and think the iPhone 5 should certainly feature it. Those who dont want a 4 to 4.6 inches screen size should still be able to get the smaller version, its not rocket science Apple! But when you think about it, the 4 inch screen does make a lot of sense. It will give you more options and still not be too bulky or large. Fans of the older 3.5 inch size would easily get used to it and the transition wouldnt be so hard.
Another important side note should be the design, the iPhone 4S really looked like the previous model and didnt bring anything new to the distinguish it from the others. The iPhone 5 must come with a new and improved design with more variety, but still keep to its old elegant and familiar tradition.

HP Touchpad WebOS with big screen
Finally, HPs entry into the tablet market. With the latest release tablet that is named HP Touchpad. The presence of these products increasingly fierce competition in the world confirms the tablet-not just from the product side, but from the side of the platform as well.
HP Touchpad will carry the operating system called WebOS. If you remember, WebOS is an operating system developed by Palm and is introduced through a mobile phone, Palm Pre and PalmPixi. However, since Palm bought HP last year, WebOS like missing. Well, this is the new touchpad, WebOS comes back.
From the screenshots shown HP, WebOS appearance relatively unchanged. On the front page there are the Quick Launch bar contains shortcuts to frequently used applications, such as web browsers, mail, instant messenger, and gallery. While the application is currently active and is in the background (WebOS already supports multitasking) is displayed in the form of "cards".
HP Touchpad itself has a size 9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024x768. These specifications are the same as Apple iPad, but not as high as Motorola Xoom which has a resolution of 1280x800. Processor using Qualcomm APQ8060 which is a two-core processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz. Touchpad itself is not a mobile device, because it only relies on WiFi as a connection to the internet. But HP promises Touchpad can synchronize to the device based smartphone WebOS.
Speaking of smartphones, at the same time HP also released two new smartphones based WebOS, namely Pre3 and Veer. HP Pre3 is a smartphone for the business segment that offers 3.58 inches and a physical keyboard. While HP Veer is a tiny device the size of the hand with a handful still has a physical keyboard.
