How To Make FireFox Faster
Firefox is an excellent browser and is one of my favourites.Besides, the huge number of add ons that it provides with makes it more special. However, the add ons can also have a negative impact and can hamper the actual speed of the browser .So here are a few tricks to increase browsing speed in firefox.

FireFox |
1.Flash Block
If you want you can also block flash as flash is “just evil”. Just install the FlashBlock extension. And if there is any flash that you anyway want to see just click the button and it will start.
Then, restart Firefox and experience how much faster it is.
2.Remove Unused Extensions
Extensions can leak memory and have a negative effect on the performance of Firefox.
- Uninstall extensions you are not using.
- Check the list of problematic extensions and either uninstall or disable while not in use.
- Extensions should also be disabled while not in use.
3.Increase Cache Size
I should have given this at the top since this greatly decreases loading time of webpages.Believe me,I know this because I myself have a low speed connection and this tip is the most effective.
As you browse the web so Firefox stores site images and scripts in a local memory cache, where they can be speedily retrieved if you revisit the same page. If you have plenty of RAM (2 GB of more), leave Firefox running all the time and regularly return to pages then you can improve performance by increasing this cache size. Type about:config and press [Enter], then right-click anywhere in the window and select New > Integer. Type browser.cache.memory.capacity, click OK, enter 65536 and click OK, then restart your browser to get the new, larger cache.
4.Data Compression
If you have a low speed data connection like me I am pretty sure that you often get frustrated about staring at white space while your webpage is loading .Well dont worry at all.Install toonel.net (toonel.net) and this clever Java applet will re-route your web traffic through its own server, compressing it at the same time, so theres much less to download. And it can even compress JPEGs by allowing you to reduce their quality. This all helps to cut your data transfer, useful if youre on a limited 1 GB-per-month account, and can at best double your browsing performance.
5.Install TraceMonkey
TraceMonkey is a new Firefox feature that converts slow Javascript into super-speedy x86 code, and so lets it run some functions anything up to 20 times faster than the current version. Its still buggy so isnt available in the regular Firefox download yet, but if youre willing to risk the odd crash or two then theres an easy way to try it out.
Install the latest nightly build (ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/), launch it, type about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Type JIT in the filter box, then double-click javascript.options.jit.chrome and javascript.options.jit.content to change their values to true, and thats it - youre running the fastest Firefox Javascript engine ever.
6.Enable Pipelining
Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return.
Look for “network.http.keep-alive”. If it’s false, double-click that line and to change it to true.
Make sure “network.http.version” is set to “1.1″.
3
Look for “network.http.pipelining”. If it’s false, double-click that line and change it to true.
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 8 by double-clicking it. This means it will make 8 requests at once. There is no point setting it higher then 8 as it is capped at 8 max. The default value for this setting is 4.

Save by Title in Firefox
One major difference between IE and FF is the way they name file while saving the web page. IE saves by the title while FF saves by the title only if in URL there is no page name. In rest of the case FF saves by the page name. But people find lot convenient by saving by title name. To do so in FF you can add addon. Just search for the addon title save and install it and the next time you save the page it will be saved by the name of the title.
