Mobile Applications
Biology that deals with the study of the living world and living organisms wouldnt be complete without practical classes. Whether you want to become a doctor or biotechnologist or simple ace your exams, remember to prepare for your Biology practical exams in addition to your preparation for Biology theory exams. Here are some tips !

List of Experiments
1. Study pollen germination on a slide.
2. Collect and study soil from at least two different sites and study them for texture,
moisture content, pH and water holding capacity of soil. Correlate with the kinds of
plants found in them.
3. Collect water from two different water bodies around you and study them for pH,
clarity and presence of any living organisms.
4. Study the presence of suspended particulate matter in air at two widely different
sites.
5. Study of plant population density by quadrat method.
6. Study of plant population frequency by quadrat method.
7. Prepare a temporary mount of onion root tip to study mitosis.
8. Study the effect of different temperatures and three different pH on the activity of
salivary amylase on starch.

Study/observation of the following (Spotting)
1. Flowers adapted to pollination by different agencies (wind, insect).
2. Pollen germination on stigma through a permanent slide.
3. Identification of stages of gamete development i.e. T.S. of testis and T.S. of ovary through permanent slides (from any mammal).
4. Meiosis in onion bud cell or grasshopper testis through permanent slides.
5. T.S. of blastula through permanent slides.
6. Mendelian inheritance using seeds of different colours/sizes of any plant.
7. Study prepared pedigree charts of any one of the genetic traits such as rolling of tongue, blood groups, ear lobes, widows peak and colour blindness.
8. Exercise on controlled pollination - emasculation, tagging and bagging.
9. Identification of common disease causing organisms like Ascaris, Entamoeba, Plasmodium, ringworm through permanent slides or specimens. Comment on symptoms of disease that they cause.
10. Two plants and two animals found in xeric conditions. Comment upon the morphological adaptations.
11. Plants and animals are found in aquatic conditions. Comment upon their morphological adaptations.
Tips
- Study the Biology theory that will form the basis of your experiments thoroughly
- The key to scoring high marks during a Biology practical exam is diagrams. Study from diagrams, revise from diagrams and practice drawing diagrams
- Spotting section can be scoring if you are familiar with the diagrams
- Knowing how to make correct sides is very important
- Understand the syllabus comprehensively so in each experiment/spotting you know what is to be done
- Make a quick revision list for Biology practical preparation to revise the important points and concepts you need to know
- Group study is helpful while preparing, each friend can describe an experiment while others try to identify the concept used in the experiment
- Note down your experiment procedure carefully, many students lose marks while writing the project notes in a hurry

Applications to surf on Android is not free anymore
Your application users to surf like PDAnet, Wireless Tether, and MyWi on the Android phones that have been free from now on these applications on the Android was not free anymore
If within three months, Google Android become the idol of American society because of the free, then starting this month users must subscribe. Android is now similar to Apples operating system. Customer is required to pay if you want to use Internet applications.
In recent days the users of Googles Android in the United States reported no longer be able to download anything from the internet. After the investigation, the application was no longer in the Android Market, especially for users of Android from AT & T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
So far Android users can directly access the Internet on a laptop, using wireless connections on the phone. Applications that use most of it free, including PDAnet, Wireless Tether, and MyWi. Most operators offer internet at a price of U.S. $15-US $ 25 per month, depending on its use.
It seems that Sprint is only just the one operator who still eliminate the Google Android. Google did not deny that has blocked internet application services.
Google in his statement mentioned that although Internet applications go away, users can still use it by downloading the application directly from the web, or install it over the phone

RIM BlackBerrys QNX Based can run Android applications
Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry smartphones broaden the appeal by allowing a QNX-based Android apps running in it, as it was previously on the issue that Palybook will support Android applications.
Three internal resource persons RIM said the effort is done to make the BlackBerry more appealing and increase sales. Thus, the operating system (OS) QNX will be compatible with Android.
Excerpted from Know Your Mobile, RIM hopes to soon launch the BlackBerry-based QNX in early 2012. That is, starting next year, users can access various Android applications in BlackBerry-based QNX.
Apparently this is required by the BlackBerry. More than 250 thousand Android application is expected to enhance the user experience significantly.
Steven Li, an analyst with research firm Raymond James told Bloomberg said that by allowing the BlackBerry to run Android apps is something interesting.
