What Does an Acer Laptop Cost

By: Hannah Munson

When Charles Babbage thought of this mean machine back in the 1800, he never thought it could have this huge effect on mankind. It has evolved into a super machine that people can not live without. Kids ages 2 to 82 years old adults take advantage of this invention.

The evolution of this machine had greatly affected the people worldwide. When internet was introduced, it helped people from all parts of the world in all aspects of life.

Inventors never stop cultivating their minds on how to make life easier and at the same time productive for everyone. Big companies houses thousands of computers and almost every household has one too. The business industry relay solely to the computers, information, communications, finances, to name a few and every line of business depends on this electronic device.

Nowadays as technology has a wide spread in the world, people has gained so muck knowledge about so many things and thus making them craving for more, as it may be work related or the current events. They learned how to do multi-tasking, an 8 hour job can not compensate the work load that were given to them, so they need to rush home and continue working to finish all their pending tasks. But thanks to another inventor who conceptualize a portable computer, which we know call the laptop. Portability is the number one advantage that we can get from this device. Technology again evolved in this device and manufacturers like IBM, Sony, Hewlett and Packard and Epson are making so much profit out of it.

What does this particular laptop cost?

With the increase in demand of this device, then came a brand that even students with diner jobs can afford, Acer. Laptops are used in schools as replacement to the ordinary textbooks. This company caters to everybody, but they thought of the parents who cannot afford to buy top of the line laptops that their children can use for school.

Acer laptops can range from $300 up to thousands of dollar depending on the model that you would wish to buy. There are pre-owned units that you can check out on ebay. Youre going to find that there are many makes and models when it comes down to the Acer brand. Be sure to compare the prices / models as they will all vary.

Price tag of laptops varies on its specification just like any other gadgets. Buyers should decipher which model suits their needs the most.
You’re going to find that there are a lot of makes and models. If you want to save money on your next laptop, you’re going to want to look at the older models because you will find that they are still up to date, but what you’re going to find out is that they are 40% cheaper. Because of this, you’re going to be able to save a good amount of money.

I would advise that you save around $400 - $600 for a good Acer. By doing so, you’re going to find that you can find one within that budget.

What is drive testing in Telecom Procedure of drive testing

Drive Test is conducted for checking coverage criteria of a cell site with RF drive test tool. The data collected by drive test tool as Log files is analyzed to evaluate various RF parameters of the network.

  • Drive Route and Site Data for the sites to be driven is taken from customer
  • Drive Test LOG File of the specified Drive Route / Site is saved and the same will be handed over to customer at the end of the day
  • Drive Test Resource identify routine field optimization issues like cable swapping, missing neighbors etc., and rectify the same with the help of the customer.

This way mobile phone companies can decide how to improve their network coverage in a certain geographical area.

Normally it is conducted in a car, with one driver and one or two drive testing engineers checking the data and navigating the driver to the right direction if necessary. These drive testing engineers first reach to the tower location and make physical optimization by inspecting issues like cable swapping, improper hardware, alarms, antenna tilting (machenical and electrical), antenna orientation. After field or physical optimization he starts drive testing by his vehicle. Drive testing engineer collects network data by making a lot of calls (short and long). The data collected includes data for serving cell as well as the neighbours. This data collected helps us to find and analyze the problems in the network.

Drive Test performance  measurements are carried out  for the following reasons:
  •  Test the network from the subscribers point of view
  •  Test the complete system, end to end
  • Benchmark performance against competitor networks
  • Test specific important routes and areas
  • Test in-building coverage for specific buildings(Metro, Airport, office etc.) called walk test.
Equiment Necessary for Drive testing :
  • Vehicle
  • Drive test mobile phone (e.g Ericsson TEMS)
  • Dongle (network inspection USB)
  • External vehicle mounted GPS
  • Laptop with drive test software and GPS connection capability and data cables, multi-connector port etc.
Network Optimization Tools Used are as  following:
  • TEMS Investigation
  • Agilent E6474A
  • Neptune
  • CDMA Air Interface Tester (CAIT)
  • TEMS DeskCat
  • Actix Analyze

Here i am suggesting some precautions for beginners in drive testing -
  1. Before starting your drive test, Collect all your equipment like GPS, Dongle, Data cables, laptop etc.  You should check your kit properly working and properly setup. Also check site data, mapinfo etc. should be installed on your system.
  2. Make sure all USBs are properly attached and must not be loose, otherwise it will create problem while drive testing
  3. At physical optimization time, you should have proper safety measures.
  4. First analyze the problem, then start driving to optimize the network problem.
  5. Dont forget to play and save logfile before starting drive testing.
For any other help regarding drive testing, feel free to comment. Enjoy !!

What Can You Do If Your Email Account Is Wiped

Sam Qam

Not so long ago many Gmail users went to check their mail only to find that their entire inbox and all their contact had been completely deleted. This shocking discovery was something done by Google by accident and only affected a very small percentage of its total users but made many people think about what would happen if all their emails were suddenly wiped forever. With approximately 300 billion emails being sent every day around the world, and as you are probably an email user yourself, you can imagine the carnage this could cause.

This article will attempt to offer some solutions as to what you can do if this happens to you.

Check who you are signed in as

If you are using one of the many popular online email providers like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo mail etc. it is possible that you have signed in as someone else. When you sign in you will notice that you can tick a box which says something like remember me which means that every time this computer comes to this mail homepage it will automatically sign you in under whichever password that was used when that box was ticked. If you check the user name you are signed in you may find that your sudden terror need only last for a couple of seconds before you switch back to your account.

Check your hard drive

If this is not the case you may want to start checking your hard drive. Many email systems, both online and offline provide a system where they back up all your emails in a folder on your hard drive so that you cant lose them. If this is the case you may be able to just bring your emails back to life with a few mouse clicks. Also, if you use a payment service provider and you get a lot of your emails through them when for payment notifications for example, chances are they may have a back-up of a lot of your important emails such as receipts of payments and invoices.

Contact your supplier

If this doesnt work you may want to contact your email supplier. Companies like Google will generally fall over themselves to help you as getting a bad reputation for losing emails is bad for business. Chances are your supplier will have a back-up of your emails on their servers which they will be able to use to restore your emails to how they were before they got deleted.
