2011 Nissan 370Z Coupe And Roadster versions

2011-Nissan-370Z-Roadster

The principal changes are to the chassis of both the Nissan 370Z Coupe and Nissan 370Z Roadster versions, to enhance ride comfort and high-speed handling. A new tyre pressure monitoring system enhances safety still further while a rear view camera integrated into the Nissan Premium Connect satellite navigation system makes reversing easier and safer, too.

Other changes include improved isolation of road noise on the CoupĂ©, while automatic versions of both issan 370Z Coupe and Nissan 370Z Roadster now have a revised ‘Snow’ setting for enhanced grip when setting off on ice and snow.

Nissan 370Z measures 4245mm from bumper to bumper and sits on a 2550mm wheelbase, exactly 100mm shorter than its predecessor’s. At 1315mm tall, it’s lower by 10mm while it is wider by 30mm at 1845mm.

At the heart of the Nissan 370Z is its exceptional 3.7-litre V6 engine. A development of the unit that powered the 350Z, the all-alloy 24-valve twin cam not only develops more power and torque but is also more response, more refined and more fuel efficient.

The addition of VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) technology helps deliver electrifying performance, the engine developing 328 PS and an impressive 366Nm of torque. It is coupled to a short throw six-speed sports manual gearbox or a seven-speed automatic.

Grip is provided by purpose designed Yokohama Advan sport tyres, in different sizes front and rear. The front tyres are 225/50 R18, with wider 245/45 R18 at the rear. Available as optional equipped are larger RAYs lightweight forged alloy wheels shod with 245/40 R19 and 275/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza tyres.

Generous standard equipment levels can be found on 370Zs and includes an engine Start button with Nissan’s Intelligent Key, 18-inch cast alloy wheels, sports brakes and a viscous limited slip differential. Seats are electrically adjustable and audio/phone controls are mounted on the steering wheel while Bluetooth connectivity is a standard.

The GT Pack versions add heated and ventilated leather/suede seats, a premium BOSE sound system, cruise control and 19-inch forged alloy wheels. The GT Pack also incorporates Synchro Rev Control technology on the manual version along with Uphill Start Support to ease hill starts.

The result is a study design that is more influenced by the style of the original 1950 300 SL in comparison wqzxc with the current SLS AMG.

Though it might not exactly look like it, but the contemporary Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is actually wqzxc the spiritual successor to the original German company in the second 300 SL Gullwing Coupe (built 1954-1957) and Roadster (from 1957 to 1963) form.

Toubal Slimane, a professional clay artist from France who has worked with several cars worldwide including Audi, Honda, wqzxc and recently, in the China office of PSA Peugeot-Citroen, use their spare time to create his own vision of what a modern 300 SL should be like.

Hyundai genesis coupe 2 0t track

WITH REGARD to the all-new Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the 3.8Track has thus far received the lions share of attention. Zero to 60 in 5.5 seconds, quarter mile in 14.0 at 101.0 mph, 60 to 0 braking in 111 feet, and lateral acceleration of 0.91 g can do that. Of course, all the greatness that is the 306-horse 3.8Track comes at a price—$30,250, to be specific. But what if most that greatness came for about three grand less? Well, say hello to the 2.0TTrack.

As its badge suggests, the 2.0T Track receives a 2.0-liter, 210-horsepower, 223-pound-foot turbocharged four mated to a six-speed manual (base and premium 2.0Ts can be had with a five-speed automatic). Further, unlike most turbo engines, the Hyundais runs on 87-octane and posts frugal fuel economy of 21/30 city/highway mpg. At the test track, the 2.0T consumed 60 in 6.8 seconds and the quarter in 15.2 at 90.3 mph. But, as with the 3.8 Track, whose ECU cull power at redline in apparent engine-preservation mode, the 2.0T suffered from some oddities of its own—namely, hanging revs— that seem to exist on purpose.

While the 2.0Ts times are nothing to be particularly ashamed of, theyre also nothing to write home about—all eight sport-compacts in our"5>mall, Fast, Fun" test (May) put up better times. Nonetheless, the 2.0TTrack is a highly capable sports car, posting 0.91 g on the skidpad and erasing 60 in only 113 feet. Even though its numbers arent superior to those of the 3.8, the 2.0T feels a smidge more responsive and a bit more fun to hustle than the V-6, thanks in part to a 91-pound-lighter curb weight.

At 527,500, th e 2.0T Track costs $4750 more than a base 2.0T, but that premium incorporates the limited-slip, Brembos, and 19s, not to mention Infinity audio, sunroof, rear spoiler, and Xenons. Sure, the hanging revs and somewhat sluggish accel times are concerns, but what Hyundai cant fix, thetuners most likely can. A little light on promise but heavy on potential, the 2.0TTrack can only get better, ron kiino
